Stratocaster - completion

My Les Paul build is on hold while the workshop is rebuilt over the winter :)

In the meantime, during the lengthy painting posts (well done if you stayed with me for that) earlier in the year here, there was a white strat body that was painted at the same time. This made the painting stage very difficult, as I was simultaneously painting both a white and black guitar - natural enemies :]

That guitar is now complete, and ready for it's new home:

It's an Olympic white body with Seymour Duncan SSL-1s with standard wiring. Maple neck, rosewood fretboard. Vintage Gotoh tuners and Wilkinson bridge / trem. It's very pretty.

I'm at least 90% sure there's no tangible benefit from angling the trem springs like this:

It has an oiled rather than laquered neck. I used Crimson guitars oil and amber stain, which I'd recommend. The oil is much quicker to apply than lacquer, and faster to play, though I do miss the shine of the nitro. This is a AAA grade maple neck - the grain is insane:

And that's it until the Les Paul build starts... Or I finally finish the second telecaster chronicled in this blog!
